Cord
Club is one of the few venues in downtown Munich that
doesn't cater to the lifestyle set, neither in interior
design, choice of music or in regards to an overly dressed-up
crowd. The club
features a certain 70s charm, but most of the times
it will be too crowded to see much of the location anyway.
The door staff makes sure it doesn't get too full, maybe
not so appreciated if you're waiting in line but you'll
be grateful once you're inside. Sweat runs down the
windows on a good night, and the cheerful crowd dances
to everything that's danceable, from 60s music to current
chartbreakers, 80s tunes or alternative rock. Mostly
students and young scenesters who prefer rock sounds
over house music frequent the Cord Club, and if you
fit into that set, you're bound to have a good time
here.
