LOSANGELES
Los Angeles - city of angels, city of dreams - probably
is one of the most famous cities of the world, and due
to Hollywood and the countless movies filmed here, most
people have at least an idea what L.A. looks like. But
L.A. is so much more than Hollywood and the downtown
skyscraper backdrop - people who know the city well
have compared it to a multicultural blend of different
neighbourhoods that make up a city, and that indeed
seems to be a major characteristic of Los Angeles -
the independence and different character that many neighbourhoods
have. Be it the small beachfront communities like Malibu,
Santa Monica, Venice Beach or Redondo, be it city neighbourhoods
like Chinatown, Inglewood , Los Feliz or adjacent small
towns like Beverly Hills and Bel Air - Los Angeles has
a diversity of culture and lifestyles that is stunning.
And although it is not advisable for tourists to explore
every last corner of the city as there are several neighbourhoods
better avoided, Los Angeles offers more than enough
to discover for the average holiday schedule.
But it's also a city that requires you to know
where to
go, or you're going to spend a lot of time on the freeways
or standing inline in front of the wrong velvet ropes
- with the right inside info, however, Los Angeles is
bound to be a rewarding experience.
The Locationsite tour-guides explored L.A. for you and
present their favourites here: the hottest
nightclubs
that make Hollywood glitz come
alive, the best bars and cocktail lounges, a selection
of
restaurants
for fine dining and of course, a list of
hotels
that warrant a recommendation
due to extraordinary standards. Last but not least,
all the
sightseeing
and
shopping
hotspots you shouldn't miss when in L.A. - welcome to
the city of angels!
