The Casa Malibu Inn Motel is perfect for all who want to stay
in a relaxed hideaway as close as possible to the megacity
Los Angeles - you reach the Casa Malibu Inn by driving
along the romantic Pacific Coast Highway, but you have
to look careful if you don't want to drive past it.
Behind the streetside façade hides a picturesque
hotel gem that offers much more than is visible at first
sight. The real charm of the Casa Malibu Inn doesn't
show until you leave the lobby and enter the beautiful
inner
yard - a lush green
oasis
with lots of greenery, beautiful flowers and exotic
plants. The Casa Malibu Inn Motel is one of four hotels in
L.A. with direct beach access and the only one offering
its guests a small
private
beach. The hotel features two beautiful
suites, the Catalina
suite on the second floor with a wonderful
view over the exotic yard and Catalina Island and the
Malibu
suite with its own
terrace
on the beach and a jacuzzi. Most popular of the 21 rooms
are doubtlessly the beachfront rooms, each with its
own patio with ocean view.
In spring, you can watch the whales go by from here,
and on some days you can see dolphins jump right in
front of your window. All rooms of the Casa Malibu are
equipped with TV, telephone with dataport, fridge and
coffeemaker. Based upon availability, there are rooms
with fireplace or kitchen also. Smoking is allowed only
on the patio and the beach. While you suntan, complimentary
towels, beach chairs and umbrellas are provided - the
Casa
Malibu is a great place to relax at,
close enough to Hollywood, downtown Los Angeles or Beverly
Hills but far enough away to be tranquil and laid back.
Some of Malibu's finest bars and restaurants (Duke's
Barefoot Bar or the Malibu Pier) are within walking
distance of the Casa Malibu Inn, and so is another inside
location you should definitely check out when you're
in the area: the Colony House Liquor and Delicatessen
Store (22523 Pacific Coast Highway) - owner George Alti,
largest importer of European wines in California, has
an amazing stock of exquisite wines, both domestic and
imported - if you're looking for something special and
extraordinary, this is where you'll find it. His wine
tastings are extremely popular, and with a little luck
you might even see some of the stars who come here regularly
to stock up their wine cellars. Unfortunately, the Casa Malibu Inn Motel is not bookable online so please call the listed number to find out about available rooms. For other hotels in Los Angeles, check this link.
