There
are many restaurants in Los Angeles that claim to be
authentic, and as far as Italian restaurants go, the
Angelini
Osteria is one of the best. Chef
Angelini has prepared meals for world notables as President
Francois Mitterand of France, Mikhail Gorbachev and
Pope John Paul II, and celebrities such as Luciano Pavarotti
and film director Federico Fellini. As an expert in
historic Italian menus, he has attained the status of
Master Chef, called to cook with all of the great chefs
of Italy. The Los Angeles Times Magazine described Gino
Angelini as, hands down, the best Italian chef
in Los Angeles", and his creations justify that
reputation. Personal and friendly service, a modest
and not overly stylish
interior
design and an excellent wine list with many hard-to-find
regional Italian specialties complete the experience
of dining at the Angelini Osteria. The Angelini restaurant
is rather small in size, so reservations are recommended
- otherwise, waiting for a table can be excruciatingly
long. If you have reserved a table, enjoy a romantic
dinner in one of the best Italian restaurants of Los
Angeles.
