The Washingtonbar is an institution in St. Pauli's scene, and rightfully so. The interior is original with a style all of its own - Elvis or Magnum and Higgins portraits, the Washingtonbar features a lot of decoration you won't find anywhere else - special Pauli punkrock freestyle best describes the atmosphere here. Easygoing hospitality makes the guest feel almost familiar after a while and the service is always friendly, although you shouldn't be disappointed if the drink menu is limited and the staff is often not equipped to meet any special orders - Washington Bar is what others would call a dive, but it's one of the most fun dives in the city, so make sure to drop by for a beer or two.
