The  Astra
Stube is a regular Hamburg classic -
this punk-style dive bar underneath the Sternenbrücke
(a railroad bridge on the corner of Stresemannstr. and
Max-Brauer-Allee) is beyond terms of definition. You
really have to go yourself to find out if you like it
- it's punkrock in the best sense of the word, with
either DJ's or live bands providing the soundtrack of
the evening. It may look run down, but the atmosphere
at Astra
Stube is always great, the party usually
wild. It's not frequented by tourists too much, but
more of a hangout for the locals. Starting around eleven
p.m. the Astra Stube usually starts to fill, if you
want a seat come a little early, there´s not too
many of them!
If visiting the Astra Stube made you hungry, the Argile
Falafel place across the street is really excellent
- authentic Lebanese atmosphere and food at moderate
